Saturday at the zoo

Sarah went to a scrapbooking convention over the weekend, so we were glad to be able to help Greg.

The weather has been a nice break from our very cold weather. Saturday we all went to the Greenville zoo and saw temperatures in the 60s for the first in a long time.

Rebecca, Julie, & Emma [r-l], acting the part.

Lions for climbing
Emma, Grandma, Rebecca ...
... and Julie, too.
How about sitting with the grandparents for a picture?Maybe a movie would be better.

Afterwards we went to a deli for lunch. All this before nap time.

two two two

We flew down for the girls' second birthday, a few days after the big day. We all seemed to reconnect quickly. We last saw them in person at Thanksgiving, and we've had ~weekly video chats, so there we were less strangers than we might have been.

We arrived Wednesday afternoon, let our selves in, and waited for the family to get home from work & school. When the van arrived, we were greeted with open arms, for the most part, and got to carry girls in. That's a great greeting.

As bedtime approaches, "story time" is announced, and all head up the stairs to a love-seat in the girls' room to read a few books (up from one book a while ago). The girls have favorite stories, and chime in with words or actions at appropriate moments. [E,J,R l-r]

It is a very animated scene. Here's a video.
