We have heard there have been times when this didn't work out, but we haven't seen that. The parents travel well prepared with stick-down placemats, Pepperidge Farm Fishy Crackers for appetizers (a kid friendly staple for generations!), and sippy cups preloaded with juice or filled on the spot with water from the restaurant.
Party time!
During our stay we hit Happy Pie for Pizza (the staff knew the family well), Panera (the girls had mac 'n cheese and shares of grown ups' dinners), Papas and Beer (we all had burritos, the girls sharing one), Chick FilA for lunch (chicken pieces), and The Mellow Mushroom (hummus and pita appetizer, then pizza - in downtown Greenville). The young ones love hummus and pitas. They do a great job with table food, in general, and enjoy these outings. We certainly did.
